Plugin Perms

If the perms for a plugin are in the plugin.yml file, within the .jar file, is there a way for me to permanently change the perms because every time i do it normally, they immediately rest to the way they were before - making the plugin unusable. Any help would be appreciated - thank!

You shouldn't touch the plugin permissions in the first place. I assume you want to change default permissions for players which you are able to achieve with a permission manager such as LuckPerms
