Legacy old PvP - 1.8 combat for Bedrock 1.0.0

Compatible API Versions
1.0.0
Legacy old PvP brings 1.8 combat to Bedrock servers. Drop it in, and PvP plays like 1.8: the old weapon damage, the 1.8 hit delay, 1.8 knockback and sword blocking. Every feature can be turned off or limited to certain worlds.

Server software: Nukkit-MOT (tested on 1.26.50-R1, Bedrock 1.26.50). Java 17+. Other Nukkit forks (NukkitX, PowerNukkitX, Lumi) are not supported.

Features
  • 1.8 weapon damage - nerfed axes and the 1.8 sword values, plus 1.8 Strength (+130% per level) and Weakness (-0.5 per level).
  • 1.8 hit delay - after a hit, only a stronger hit lands for the next 10 ticks, and only for the difference. Crits while spam clicking count, like 1.8.
  • 1.8 knockback - for players and mobs, with the extra push from sprint hits and the Knockback enchantment.
  • Sword blocking - Bedrock cannot right click a sword, so sneak while holding a sword to block. Damage from melee, projectiles and explosions becomes (damage + 1) / 2. A blocking player cannot attack.
  • Block pose - a built-in resource pack shows the 1.8 sword block arm pose in third person. Set force-resources=on in server.properties to make every player load it.

Setup
  1. Put LegacyOldPvP-nukkit-1.0.0.jar in plugins/ and restart.
  2. Change anything you like in plugins/LegacyOldPvP/config.yml.
  3. Run /legacypvp reload to apply it.

Commands and permissions
/legacypvp reload - reloads the config. Permission: legacypvp.admin (ops by default).

Configuration
  • old-damage - the damage table, Strength and Weakness.
  • old-knockback - horizontal, extra and vertical knockback, sprint bonus, mob attacks.
  • hit-delay - the hit delay in ticks (1.8: 10).
  • sword-blocking - the block reduction (flat and percent).
  • debug - logs every hit a player takes, for troubleshooting.
Each section has enabled and disabled-worlds.

Not yet on Bedrock
1.8 armour, regeneration, golden apples, fishing rods, projectile knockback and the ender pearl cooldown. There is no first-person block animation: Bedrock fixes how a held sword looks in first person, and packs cannot change it.
