Cannot use git clone - TLS issues

Cloning into 'Nukkit'...
fatal: unable to access 'https://github.com/CloudburstMC/Nukkit/': gnutls_handshake() failed: The TLS connection was non-properly terminated.

This is all that I get when running sudo git clone https://github.com/CloudburstMC/Nukkit

is there a way I can download this without GitHub? Or how I can fix this issue?
