How to downgrade server version

I want to host a 24/7 server, and I need the 1.20.31 version for my friend who uses the crack version to join, but the server is 1.20.40. Is it possible to downgrade?

If you wanna use nukki vanilla (not pnx, pn, etc) you can use Nukkit Petterim Edition https://github.com/PetteriM1/NukkitPetteriM1Edition

Yes.
You only need an older .jar
You can download it without compiling from GitHub.
